Nanoz the word?

Paper batteries will revolutionize the market!!!

Nanotechnology after making waves in the research arena is now gradually seeping into everyday life. [See wiki]. Recently Dr. Yi Cui, assistant professor of materials science and engineering at Stanford university has managed to coat a sheet of paper with ink made of carbon nanotubes and silver nanowires to make a highly conductive storage device. It will save cost, storage area (as with all nanotech products), and will be much more energy efficient. Our batteries for electronic gadgets, laptops or even the cars will now be feather light, compressed or even crumpled beyond recognition now, if it is approved for everyday use!

But more paper means more trees. Don't more trees need to be cut if this paper is commercialized at all? Is the bargain justified? Man does look for convenient solutions with new technologies like this but will it cost him the planet, the climate, the environment and ultimately life on earth??
